We often complain about our circumstances as a nation and as individuals. We are challenged with eroding values, poverty, unemployment, crime...the list goes on and on. On the other hand we agree that Nigeria is indeed a great nation with great potential particularly rich in human capital. In my opinion, Nigerians are some of the smartest people in this planet!
So how can we change all the doom and gloom and the general sense of helplessness especially with our youth and the less privileged? I often say in the classes I teach that if each individual took responsibility for their own sphere of influence, positive change will come.
The good thing is, many of us in our homes and social structures are doing what we can. This blog provides an opportunity to pool resources for greater speed and impact.
Go forth is an unashamedly Christian organization seeking to impact target audiences with the tools, learning and resources to tackle some of the more serious challenges we face including:
1.Poverty
2. Values
3. Life Skills
4.Relationships
5. Wellness
We believe that given illumination, minds can be changed positively by education and by the Power of God to make our future as a people better.
This is a volunteer effort of Christian professionals willing to share their learning and experience with youth groups (for a start) who are looking for the training to make a better life for their members.
Current training available includes - Entrepreneurship, Self Leadership, Work Readiness, Communication Skills, Building Godly Character, Finding Your Purpose amongst others.
As previously stated, these classes are offered for free to youth groups. This blog will also seek to find and share free resources available online for training in the areas highlighted. Other professionals willing to volunteer are welcome to do so.
